Daytona Beach Resort has issued a statement saying the death of a skier has been ruled a tragic accident.

A male has been arrested in connection with the deathThe resort says it is aware of a possible safety issue but says there are no immediate plans to change the location of its ski resort.
A man has been taken into custody in connection to the death in Daytona.
A female has also been taken to the Broward County Jail.
Authorities said a male had been found dead in the parking lot of the resort.
“The male skier who died was found deceased by members of the public at approximately 2:30 p.m. yesterday, on the main parking area of the Daytona Beach Resort,” the statement read.
“An autopsy will be performed tomorrow to determine the exact cause of death.”
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has opened a homicide investigation.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased in this tragic accident,” a statement read in part.
“We will not stop until we get to the bottom of this tragedy and to prevent this from ever happening again.”
The resort said it is working closely with the state Department of Transportation.”DOT is working with the resort to implement a comprehensive plan to ensure that all of its parking areas are safe,” the resort said.

The statement added that the resort is not in the process of shutting down its resort, but is working on a safe plan to relocate its ski areas.
“It is our understanding that the decision will be made by the resort management,” the release read.
