Palm Springs, California — (CNNMoney) A group of billionaire owners and developers are launching a massive resort planned for the coastal resort town of Palmdale.
The $10 billion resort, called the Paradise, is set to be completed by 2022.
The project will be the first to be built in the U.S. on land owned by the resort’s owners, billionaire Steve Wynn and the late Steve Wynnsons daughter, Lisa Wynn.
The resort will feature a spa, indoor and outdoor pool, spa suites and restaurants.
It will also include hotels and residential units.
Palmdale is the most popular destination in the country for luxury vacations.
The project, which is being developed by Wynn Enterprises, will include more than 150,000 luxury apartments, as well as an 80,000-square-foot hotel.
The resort’s first phase, which would include the spa, would be completed this year.
Wynn has said that the resort will open in 2021.
The plan also includes a hotel that would be open daily, a golf course and two golf courses.
